Nicole Piervencenti, LMHC, PMH-C
ASSISTANT CLINICAL DIRECTOR, SAYVILLE PSYCHOTHERAPIST
I provide a safe and nurturing environment where you can wrestle your demons and win. I utilize many tools and theories, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which are both useful, concrete, and effective tools. For couples, I love using the Gottman Method because it also provides very dedicated skills for relationship building and sustaining fulfillment as a couple. One philosophy I believe is key to a successful relationship is that you donβt necessarily have to agree with your partnerβs need or want in order to meet it. Whether youβre coming to therapy with a partner or by yourself, I look forward to being a part of your journey towards discovering and living as your best self.
My therapy superpower isβ¦
That I am not afraid to challenge clients. I can be direct without judging and still make them feel safe to explore whatβs keeping them stuck.
My clients describe me asβ¦
Insightful, nonjudgmental, warm and fuzzy, and great at holding them accountable in a really positive way.
My favorite quote isβ¦
βAnd in the end, we were all just humans, drunk on the idea that love, only love, could heal our brokenness.β -Christopher Poindexter
