Nicole Piervencenti, LMHC, PMH-C

ASSISTANT CLINICAL DIRECTOR, SAYVILLE PSYCHOTHERAPIST

I provide a safe and nurturing environment where you can wrestle your demons and win. I utilize many tools and theories, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which are both useful, concrete, and effective tools. For couples, I love using the Gottman Method because it also provides very dedicated skills for relationship building and sustaining fulfillment as a couple. One philosophy I believe is key to a successful relationship is that you don’t necessarily have to agree with your partner’s need or want in order to meet it. Whether you’re coming to therapy with a partner or by yourself, I look forward to being a part of your journey towards discovering and living as your best self.

My therapy superpower is…

That I am not afraid to challenge clients. I can be direct without judging and still make them feel safe to explore what’s keeping them stuck.

My clients describe me as…

Insightful, nonjudgmental, warm and fuzzy, and great at holding them accountable in a really positive way.

My favorite quote is…

β€œAnd in the end, we were all just humans, drunk on the idea that love, only love, could heal our brokenness.” -Christopher Poindexter
