Getting Started
The first step to getting started is to call us now at (631) 941-1200 or email info@passageswomen.com to make an appointment. From there, our Intake Coordinator Carrie Arias, will briefly assess your needs and schedule you with one of our therapists. At this time, she will also verify your insurance benefits and take care of any authorizaton you may need. Our office participates in some health insurance plans, please call us directly so we can assess the benefits of your individual plan.
Sessions
Appointments are scheduled for 45 minutes, unless otherwise agreed upon. Our practice is open Monday-Saturday and hours vary among therapists. Please contact our main office number above for routine scheduling and administrative issues. If you are unable to reach us, please leave a confidential message and your call will be returned promptly, within 24 hours. In the case of a clinical emergency and you are unable to reach us, please call 911 immediately or go directly to your nearest emergency room.
Confidentiality
Issues discussed in therapy are privileged and confidential and your privacy is protected by Federal law. However, there are limits to the privilege of confidentiality. These situations include: 1) The suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elderly, or disabled person, 2) The case that you are in danger of harming yourself, another person, or if you are unable to care for yourself, 3) If you report that you intend to physically injure someone else, we are required by law to inform that person as well as the legal authorities, 4) If we are ordered by a court to release information as part of a legal involvement, 5) Contact with your insurance company for billing purposes, insurance audits, case review or appeals, etc., 6) In natural disasters whereby protected records may become exposed or 7) As otherwise required by law.
