Nicole Piervencenti is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a passion for helping women, couples and families. Her personal journey led her to pursue her dream of helping others to live healthy and productive lives. Nicole received her Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling from CW Post Long Island University. She has had extensive clinical training in the treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, couples therapy and addictions.
Nicole is a primary therapist in our Maternal Wellness Program and has a rich background in treating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMAD). She has completed the Circle of Caring Training through the Postpartum Resource Center of New York. Nicole served as a facilitator of the Circle of Caring support group for mothers suffering from PMD. She also served as the Circle of Caring Coordinator for Suffolk County. Nicole has trained with Postpartum Support International in an effort to bring her clients the most current and effective treatment for women suffering from a Perinatal Mood Disorder.
Nicole also has a passion for working with couples. She utilizes the Gottman Method in her work with couples and is a Level One trained Gottman therapist. Nicole has also had comprehesive training and experience in the field of addiction. She has worked at Seafield Services assisting individuals and families develop coping skills and related postive attitude and behavioral changes. Nicole joins these distinctive combination of skills making her uniquely qualified to aid women and families in their pursuits for self fullfillment.
A community advocate, Nicole works with the Postpartum Resource Center of New York as a public speaker. She is a proud member of Postpartum Support International (PSI), the Postpartum Resource Center of New York, the New York Mental Health Counselor’s Association and the American Counseling Association.
