

Michelle Button is the Founder and Director of Passages. Her mission in creating Passages, is to provide a safe and nurturing place for women to seek support, guidance and empowerment to find joy and balance in their lives. Through her own personal experience and professional training, Michelle assists clients in finding meaning and fulfillment for themselves and in their relationships.
She received her Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree from New York University completing their Advanced Standing Program. Michelle went on to complete an Advanced Postgraduate Clinical Certificate also at New York University. She has received post graduate training in Interpersonal Psychotherapy from the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy (ICP) in New York City and has been in private practice for over 20 years. Michelle is certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) has had extensive training in the treatment of perinatal mood disorders. He training includes the Postgraduate Postpartum Depression Training Program through the Postpartum Stress Center in Philadelphia, Postpartum Support International, The Postpartum Resource Center of New York and the MOMS 2020 Training Program in Maternal Mental Health.
A community advocate, Michelle is a member of the Suffolk County Perinatal Coalition’s Mood Disorders Task Force and volunteers her time with the March of Dimes. Michelle is an active professional member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASAM), Postpartum Support International (PSI), The Postpartum Resource Center of New York, RESOLVE (The National Infertility Association), and the National Association for Social Workers (NASW).
Michelle finds balance outside of her work through spending time with her family, practicing yoga, and photography.
