Merissa Jennings is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R) and has been working in the field of mental health and addictions for over 12 years. Having a Masters degree in both Social Work and Psychology, Merissa uniquely combines her background in her work with clients.
Merissa utilizes a strengths based approach, working with clients to build upon their existing strengths and assisting them to develop new skills and tools to help achieve the life they want and deserve. In addition to her general practice, Merissa’s areas of expertise include mood and anxiety disorders, perinatal mental health, parenting and addictions.
Trained in Behavioral Couples Therapy, Merissa also specializes in working with couples. She helps couples deepen their connection by improving their communication skills and by building healthy relationships skills. Merissa also helped develop a unique program for parenting and relationship skills groups used throughout Long Island.
Merissa finds her balance outside of work through working out, cooking and spending time with her family.
