Karyn Murphy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with almost 20 years of clinical experience.She has a special passion in working with teens, adults and families. She especially enjoys supporting families through the parenting challenges of adolescence.
Karyn received her Masters Degree in Social Work from Smith College School of Social Work and has worked in a variety of mental health, school and college settings.
Karyn works from a holistic perspective, taking into account the individual and their current life stressors. She emphasizes a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate environment. Her areas of interest include working with teens and parents, life transitions, trauma, anxiety and mood disorders.
Outside of the office, Karyn can be found enjoying nature with her family through hiking mountains, kayaking and biking. She and her family are beginning the challenge of the 46 Adirondack high peaks.
