Christine Szaraz is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). She has worked in a variety of clinical and community health settings over the last decade, with specific emphasis on supporting and empowering individuals impacted by trauma in developing the skills and insights to manage their recovery and maintain their well-being.
Christine received her Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling from CW Post, Long Island University. She is experienced in treating anxiety and mood disorders, and is especially interested in exploring how cultural expectations around emotional and mental health and family dynamics influence individual identity, communication, and help-seeking behaviors.
Christine is also an educator and has presented at multiple local and national conferences on topics related to mental health and wellness, violence prevention, and community support. She is a member of the New York Mental Health Counselor’s Association and the American Counseling Association.
